What We Need Wednesday: Condiments and Spices
When people think about donating to a food pantry, shelf-stable staples like pasta, rice, and canned vegetables are often the first items that come to mind. These foods are essential, and they play an important role in helping families put meals on the table. But there’s another group of items families frequently ask for and one that’s often overlooked: condiments and spices.
This month, condiments and spices are one of our highlighted needs at Loudoun Hunger Relief.
What We’re Looking For This Month
Some of the most requested condiments and spices include:
Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise
Spices and seasonings such as salt and pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and chili powder
Salad dressings
Full-size, unopened items are always appreciated. Low-sodium or no-added-sugar options are helpful when available.
How You Can Help
You can donate in person at our Leesburg pantry (donation hours can be found here) or shop directly from our Amazon wishlist to send items straight to Loudoun Hunger Relief. Every donation helps us meet a need that’s easy to overlook but requested often.
Thank you for continuing to support our neighbors and for helping ensure families have access to the everyday items that help meals come together.
