Loudoun Hunger Relief is your neighborhood, nonprofit food pantry. We are an NGO relying on donations, grants, and community partners to provide groceries to our neighbors.
Loudoun Hunger Relief is committed to eliminating food insecurity by providing access to nutritious food, building community connections, and expanding educational opportunities. We support our Loudoun County neighbors with their supplemental or emergency food needs. Please read below for more information on our services and other community services.
Members of LHR are able to pick up food from us up to twice per month but no more than once per week. For more information, please read our Frequently Asked Questions.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the process for scheduling my twice-a-month visits?
You can choose to use your two visits a month either consecutively (two weeks in a row) or with a break in between. But please note: you cannot visit more than once per week. Once you have made your two appointments for the month, you will need to wait until next month for your next appointment.
To schedule your appointment and view more information about our scheduling system, please visit out SmartChoice FAQ page. You will need your Shopper ID and PIN to access the site.
What if the food provided is not enough?
For emergencies, we offer pre-packaged emergency food boxes available when the Leesburg pantry is open. If you are in need of additional assistance, please give us a call at (703) 777-5911 or email us at info@loudounhunger.org.
HOW WE HELP
The services we provide through our in-market, curbside, and mobile market experiences are meant to supplement a household’s food needs, so food creates less of a financial strain on our members.
Our Leesburg and Sterling pantries are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. You can choose either a CURBSIDE or IN-PERSON appointment. When scheduling online, be sure to select the correct type. Members are able to make two appointments per month, but no more than one per week. Items received at LHR are for your personal household use only. By accepting items from LHR you agree not to trade, barter or sell those items.
CURBSIDE: To make a curbside appointment, fill out the wish list and choose your appointment time. When you arrive, park in any numbered curbside space. Text us at (571) 440-7681 with your name and parking spot number. (This number is for curbside arrival only—no questions will be answered via text.) A staff member or volunteer will bring your order to your car. Please return your cart inside when finished.
IN-PERSON: Select your time and day online. When you arrive, park in an unnumbered, non-curbside spot and enter through the main sliding doors no more than 5 minutes before your appointment. Please have your emailed appointment reminder and your barcode ready before you check in at the front desk. You may shop for supplemental food to help meet your family’s needs. Any limits will be clearly marked. Please move through the Market in 12-15 minutes. Please return your cart inside when finished. We serve around 850 families per week, so only take what your household needs.
REMINDERS: You’ll receive email reminders about your appointment. Please follow the instructions in the message to confirm or cancel.
We have Spanish-speaking staff and volunteers available by phone and in-person during office hours. Our team can assist with dietary needs and help determine USDA eligibility.

NEED ADDITIONAL HELP?
Emergency Food Services
We provide emergency care to members who have special circumstances. If your situation is more extreme, please let a staff member know, and you could qualify for more assistance. You will work closely with our Community Care Team, who will help you with your unique situation. If you or someone you know is terminally ill, mentally ill, experiencing homelessness, or a low-income senior citizen, LHR’s Long Term Care provides extra support.
Additionally, we can help you determine if you qualify to receive USDA assistance. If you qualify, we will prepare your order to include USDA food.
We encourage all who visit us to determine if they are eligible for SNAP, WIC and other benefits. Click below for more information.
